In September, San Francisco hosted the first of two America's Cup World Series. The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Silicon Valley, along with the local Harvard and Brown alumni clubs, held a special event on the Seaward, an 82-foot schooner arranged through the Olympic Circle Sailing Club in Berkeley, CA. The day's festivities was sponsored by Appleton Estate Rum. The racing was terrific along the shore by Marina Green. The companions were excellent, and sailing on San Francisco Bay is always a delight.
